The African Society for Social and Behavioral Change (AS-SBC) is accepting abstracts for the Africa SBC Summit in 2024.
This summit aims to bring together innovative concepts and practices in social and Behavioral Change (SBC) that are tailored to the dynamic culture and context of African people. The theme for the summit is "Cultivating Resilience and Relevance", which emphasizes the need to align SBC techniques, tools, and approaches with the rapid technological and societal changes happening in Africa and around the world.
The summit will highlight the strengths of African communities and the importance of culturally relevant interventions. The Africa SBC summit will initiate a dialogue on integrating the diverse social frameworks of the continent into SBC programming by leveraging the knowledge and wisdom of local communities to create SBC strategies that are sustainable, effective, and adaptable enough to meet the needs of Africa's ever-evolving narrative.

This theme explores the convergence of behavioral sciences—including psychology, sociology, anthropology, and behavioral economics—and indigenous knowledge systems.
